The report of the Task Force for Historic Preservation on the historic core of the Washington State University campus. The purpose of this report is to increase knowledge and appreciation of the historic buildings of Washington State University campus. It was written at the request of the Office of Facilities Planning to provide guidance to those involved in the development of a long-range master plan for the University. It is offered as a working tool for all who are concerned with the planning, design and maintenance of campus buildings and as a handbook for the benefit of those who visit and work at W.S.U. The recommendations are made in the belief that the University can develop and respond to the needs of society in the state of Washington, while preserving the heritage which makes it unique.
